McMurdo NAS, Antarctica.      This building is called a Wannigan.  It contains the radio equipment used in directing the operations of the C-130 aircraft airlifting equipment to the South Pole Station.  The bubble canopy proved worthless for observing aircraft or anything else for that matter, for as soon as the controller stepped up to the bubble to look out, his breath immediately frosted over the plastic.  Caption by Bill Nichols.  (Circa 1960)
