South Pole, Antarctica.      Another aerial view of the South Pole Station at a lower altitude.  Most of the items seen on the surface are empty boxes and barrels that had been parachuted to the South Pole by C-124 aircraft before the C-130's arrived to air-land supplies.  Caption by Bill Nichols.  (Circa 1960)
