This photograph was taken in the living room of apartment 30-381E located on Cherry Hill, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. The polar bear on the back wall was taken on a hunting trip to Point Barrow, Alaska, in March of 1965 with Bill Ellis as guide. Nolan was a pilot in the 17th Troop Carrier Squadron, and Jo Ann taught school at Orion Junior High.
