Sondrestrom's Lake Ferguson

Lake Ferguson or Lake Tasersuatsiaq (Greenlandic) was a favorite outing for the crews TDY to Sondrestrom. Lake Ferguson, located approximately three miles south of Sondrestrom, was the reservoir for the base and a favorite "fishing hole" for some. One often saw caribou or musk oxen along the shores of the five-mile-long lake. One avid Firebird fisherman was Gary Lattin, who always had his fly rod and fly tying equipment nearby.
