Reunion |
Despite rising costs, the reunion committee has been able to maintain
a very reasonable registration fee. The registration fee helps defray reunion
costs such as printing, postage, hospitality suite, and banquet. The
association plans to provide beer, frozen margaritas, soft drinks, munchies,
and mixers in the Firebird hospitality suite. A registration fee of $40.00 is charged per family or individual Firebird Association member. A family as defined by the Firebird Association is a mama bear, papa bear, and baby bears, and/or significant other. Brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws, acquaintances, and Goldie Locks do not qualify as family members unless approved in advance. When in doubt, just ask. Non-family members should register separately. Prior to March 1, 2008, the registration fee is discounted to $25.00. This year, no buffet ticket is included in the new registration fee. |

Surviving Spouses |
The Association is offering a special invitation to surviving spouses
or family of deceased members, and World War II members, who may wish to
attend the reunion. These persons may participate by paying for their room
and the individual activities, meals, and tours that they elect to attend.
They will not be required to pay the membership or registration fee. |

Cancellations: |
In case the reunion is interrupted by forces beyond our control,
registration fees will be refunded less pro rata share of all costs incurred.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to Bob Mattingly. Requests for cancellation postmarked by March 1, 2008, will receive a full refund. Requests postmarked after March 1, 2008 and by April 1, 2008, will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be granted for requests postmarked after April 1, 2008, unless there is a bona fide emergency. No refunds will be made prior to the reunion. All refunds will be made within 10 days of completion of the reunion account balancing. |

Another highly recommended C-130 reunion charged $50.00 per person registration fee at their most recent reunion. This fee included an open bar in the hospitality room and the main dinner on Saturday night. And, the Evreaux Air Base reunion charged a $68.00 per person registration fee. The 24th Annual Spectre Reunion charged $55.00 per person registration fee. This fee included a cocktail party, Saturday banquet ($25.00), and Sunday brunch (15.00). In addition, attendees had to be members of the Spectre Association, and the annual dues are $10.00. |
