61st TCS C-130D Formation over Greenland

 From March to October 1959, the 61st TCS with twelve new ski-equipped C-130D aircraft were assigned to the Greenland Ice Cap as part of the Dew Line extension project. During this time Dew Line sites DYE 2 and DYE 3 were constructed using Sondrestrom AB, Greenland, as the staging base.
